This hotel really wasn't great. The rooms are dirty and poorly lit, our first smelled heavily of smoke. The windows were filthy. The beds are also way to soft and actually don't have a mattress if you check, just a series of mattress toppers. The breakfast is also terrible for the price, don't pay for it. The only thing which stands out is that everyone working at the hotel was kind and helpful! Location is OK, reasonably well connected despite being in an odd new build area.
We took the wellness spa room and had a jacuzzi and sauna inside our room. The room itself was absolutely wonderful, from views to amenities. We didn't like the staff however except the 1 person we met while checking out and he was handling the bags at the reception. There is an asian looking lady at the reception who was really rude in her tone for no reason. Breakfast was better than many other places on our 15 day vacation.
Rooms were very poorly lit a lamp in the corner would make a difference. The twin beds were very small and ill fitting my husband slipped from the mattress a couple of times due to this and hurt himself.
We asked for an upgrade and despite the hotel being very quiet the price for this was far too expensive.
However the breakfast was good and staff friendly.
While i have no hesitation recommending this hotel, be aware that it is located in a suburb. The area is currently under construction. Keep in mind it's a 15 min walk to a tram station. This is fine if it's not raining. I liked the area as it was quiet. The hotel itself was nice. It's decorated in an industrial style. I found the beds a bit small, but apart from that, I had no complaints. The place was very clean, staff were helpful. There was a light system outside the doors to alert cleaning staff if you were ready to get your room cleaned. A feature I appreciated, as I've been woken up/walked in on too many times in the past.
The photos of this hotel promise way more than what it provides.
First, we arrived (the hotel main door had a broken glass which is already a bad first impression) and the hotel staff only had available a room with twin beds (it seems it was not possible to book specifically a double bed room as this was subject to availability) where the hotel staff proposed if we wanted to upgrade for 50e/night for a better grade room with double beds (which they had several available) instead of free upgrade, even if we were going to stay there only for 1 night and more than one higher grade room was available at check-in time (meaning it is not going to be booked for that night so it is going to be empty for that night). We refused to pay extra and the hotel staff gave us a room with the view of the railways and a construction site where you could hear several trains passing by (we heard 2 in 5min). After having discovered this “great” feature of the room, we called the hotel reception and they agreed to gave us another room (still with twin beds). This room had a much better view where you could see a residential building and the canal partially. Considering this, it seems really odd and unprofessional from the Hotel staff to first do not offer you a free upgrade due to the fact that you have requested one double bed instead of two twins as after 4pm no one is going to suddenly book 5 rooms in that category so they prefer to have them empty than to satisfy a customer, and second to offer the worst view/room available even if they had other rooms within the same category which had better features, so the fact that we needed to call and bring all our luggages again to the reception to then get a fairer room seems inadequate for a 4 stars hotel.
Second, the location of the hotel seems near in maps, however, when you get there the road is really bumpy and it is really hard or almost impossible to be reached on foot, unless you want to walk through construction sites and on the road due to the lack of sidewalks/pedestrian areas near the hotel.
Third, the room has an interesting interior design due to its concrete uncovered/unpainted walls (which I am familiar with), however, all electricity/heating cables and pipes are showing on the ceiling, which did not give a sense of safety, specially in the bathroom.
Finally, the breakfast is fair if you eat meat/fish or you are vegetarian; however, the choices are really poor if you are vegan (almost no fruits and just bread with margarine).
The only good comments I can make about this hotel are about the fitness and wellness area. However, thanks to the treatment of your hotel staff I will always avoid any hotel part of Inntel Hotels group.
This hotel is 2.5 star. 3 star hotels have fitted sheets, more comfortable beds, and better tea selection. There is no Manager to address. Front desk Alex and Francesco are the rudest. When we asked about contact details for a manager we …
Recently stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the nearby Tram stop which takes you into the city in less than 10 minutes. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful, luckily room was available earlier then …
For me this hotel was just a little disappointing. It's a luxury spa hotel and the lobby decor is lovely and fits that description but the room did not. The spa bath was amazing but the room was so poorly lit you could hardly see anything. …
